Vice President: Jamie Cotton
Jamie is a conservationist, fly tier, and media professional from Colorado's Front Range. Jamie brings a lifetime of outdoor stewardship, a MA in Sustainable Development from DU's Korbel School, and passion for community engagement to Trout Unlimited.
Administrator: Jennie Harrington
Jennie brings a deep appreciation for fly fishing, watershed health, and the behind-the-scenes work that keeps conservation efforts moving forward. An avid angler and outdoor enthusiast, Jennifer is passionate about protecting cold-water fisheries through education, community engagement, and practical water-conservation efforts.
With a background rooted in organization, communication, and leadership, she enjoys translating big conservation goals into clear actions—whether that’s documenting chapter initiatives, supporting events, or helping connect people to the “why” behind healthy rivers. When she’s not keeping WDTU organized, you’ll most likely find her on the water with a fly rod in hand.
Treasurer: Matt Rivera
Matt is married to Denise. He attended Regis College. Besides fishing, Matt enjoys shooting sporting clays, handgun shooting, bird hunting (especially waterfowl), and playing golf. His favorite fishing spots are in Rocky Mountain National Park and throughout the Carbondale area.
Ashley Giles
Past President
Ashley is a Colorado native and daughter of a gold prospector (aka geologist), so she grew up exploring the watersheds of Colorado. She is a self-proclaimed “Champion of Rivers,” which lends itself to a lifelong love of fly fishing. In college Ashley studied limnology, conservation biology, and ecological restoration, and she works as an environmental scientist on wetland and river restoration projects.
As our Conservation Director, Ashley is involved in collaborative Clear Creek watershed projects, including the Integrated Water Management Plan and River Watch. She is an average runner, avid gardener, closet floral designer, and dreams of being a goat farmer.
Ed Calmus
President Emeritus
Ed grew up in Pittsburgh and moved to Colorado after graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later received an MBA degree from the University of Wyoming. Married to Jody, two daughters. Retired from University of Denver, where he directed Business Services. Ed’s passion is preserving the fly fishing experience.
