Denver Chapter - Trout Unlimited The buzz from the internet forums indicate this years clinic was well liked and the food served was even better than usual. But guys and gals don't come to our clinic for the food of course. They come to see some of the tiers they hear and read about. More importantly they want to learn new things and techniques that will improve their fly tying. The tiers like to strut their stuff and talk to the eager vistors to our clinic. Again we have come through for them. Usually I show pictures of all our tiers then show pictures of all the people who help to make the clinic a success. This time I think we will start with our members who help make the event a success. This event is one of WDTU's primary fund raisers to support our efforts to meet our mission: Conserving, protecting and enhancing Colorado's cold water fisheries through volunteerism, education and outreach. President Portillo said "Our Fly Tying Clinic was a great success, with an attendance of approximately 420 paid participants. This year, Bill Searles was able to get more than 60 tiers to participate, and we had some very innovative patterns being demonstrated." Click
